Scheduled Day Trips
Each season from May to September, we offer scheduled sailings on various days of the week (including weekends) to provide anyone with an opportunity to book and enjoy a wherry experience.
Most of these trips are for the best part of a full day, and sometimes half-day trips are also offered.
What exactly is a scheduled day trip?
A scheduled sailing just means that the wherry is scheduled to depart on planned dates. This allows you to book a wherry experience for a day without having to charter (i.e. hire) the whole vessel (see below for details of chartering a wherry).
When you choose a scheduled sailing, you are booking individual places on a trip alongside other members of the public. A crew is provided to do all the work, with passengers just sitting back and relaxing. Your crew will provide drinks and biscuits but, unless otherwise stated, please bring your own lunch.
How do scheduled day trips work?
Such trips are planned well in advance. Once you’ve chosen and booked your date you can sit back and relax as our experienced skipper and crew transport you down the river in style.
Experience the Norfolk Broads at a calm ‘wherry pace’, taking in all outstanding views and beautiful wildlife. Our day trips are ‘out and back’ or ‘point to point’ sailings.
For the latter, we meet you in the morning at the end point with a minibus transfer to the start point.
Sorry, no pets (please contact us if you rely on an assitance dog). Please click here to see our Booking Terms
Choose your sailing date from our calendar
All dates of sailings are shown on the relevant month on the calendar below.
Simply scroll to the month you'd like to sail, select and hover over your preferred date to find out more about the trip and click to book.
Places are limited and tend to sell out quickly so don’t miss out! (if you’d like to be the first to know about new dates or sailings please sign up to receive mailings or follow us on Facebook.)
