Open Events

Come and join in - we'd love to see you at our FREE events

View Hathor

Have you been onboard Hathor, our stunning Egyptian-themed wherry, built for the Colman family of Norwich?  Based on the riverfront below the beautiful How Hill House, we are open for viewing 10am-5pm most days from 2nd May to 29th September each year.  Our Ambassadors will be there to welcome you, give you a guided tour, and tell you the history of both Hathor and our other wherries.

Please note: Hathor is out sailing a couple of days a month and our viewing days are also subject to volunteer availability.  If you are making a special trip, please contact us to ensure there will be someone to greet you - jk@wherryyachtcharter.org

Other Events during 2026
All at How Hill river front where Hathor will be moored, unless stated otherwise

2026

Our events for 2026 will be posted on here in the Spring once our programme is finalised.

We anticipate it including a number of musical events held on the riverside at How Hill.  We are also planning a Gin Tasting evening.  In the meantime, why not join the Friends of Wherry Yacht Charter to get advance information?

Directions to How Hill

The Postcode for the How Hill Trust is NR29 5PG.  The public car park is just south of the House, at the bottom of the hill.  You then walk across the open grass to Toad Hole Cottage - just beyond that you will find Hathor moored on the river frontage.
