Wherry Yacht Charter Charitable Trust
Caring for the Broads' last wherry fleet

WYCCT needs your help to care for four of the last eight traditional Wherries on the Norfolk Broads.

Pleasure Wherry Hathor and Wherry Yachts Olive and Norada are all currently undergoing or awaiting repair, while White Moth is in sailing order. When work is completed they will all be available for everyone to enjoy, on public sailings, private charters and educational visits, but to achieve this we need your help.

Please make a donation, or become a Friend to give us ongoing support. Find out more.

Our newest fleet member, White Moth, is seen here on South Walsham Broad last year. Being able to offer her for charter for the next three years will significantly improve our finances and help us complete the restoration of Norada, Olive and Hathor. (Our thanks to Sue Hines for the photo - you can see more of her pictures of wherries on Flickr.)

We're now back from our round trip to the Broads Outdoors Festival. Thank you to all who sailed with us! Our news page has a review of the mini tour. It's good to be back on the water!

There are more sailings later in the year - see our events page for details of these and our other plans for 2012. On a sailing you will spend a peaceful and relaxing few hours seeing the Broads from the graceful counter stern of a wherry yacht, and in the company of an experienced skipper and crew. Learn about the history of wherries and their place in our heritage, watch out for wildlife, or just enjoy the tranquility! Visit our news page if you missed the announcement about White Moth joining our fleet and would like to learn more.
