Norada at How Hill

We offer something for everyone from skippered charters to day and part-day taster sailings and free on-board viewings. How will you experience our wherries this year?

Step aboard

We offer a full range of opportunities to come on board our wherries:

Day and holiday charters give you exclusive use of a whole boat, for a day, weekend or week. Full details.

Scheduled sailings and viewings suit all budgets. Scheduled trips of varying lengths are available for individual booking, and between sailings our vessels are often open to view, always free of charge. Our current sailings, with availability, are listed below. Additionally, Hathor is on view at How Hill 10am-5pm on all days when she is not sailing (subject to viewing host being available). Please do contact us to confirm availability if making a special trip. Friends receive early information about sailing opportunities, and non-members can also join our mailing list.

Members' sailings exclusively for Friends of WYC.

Educational activities for all audiences. Full details in our Education section.

For our scheduled sailings, below: Please book in advance unless stated otherwise - see our contact page for details. Complimentary hot & cold drinks are served, but please bring your own food as required. Return land transport is included where necessary - we meet early at the destination of the sailing and transport you to the wherry. Sailing lengths and arrival times are approximate due to the influence of wind and tide. Full details of parking, meeting points, transport etc. will be given on booking. We are unable to accept dogs on board for public sailings, except registered assistance dogs. Unfortunately the wherries are not suitable for wheelchairs, but please contact us with any other accessibility queries and we will do our best to enable you to join us.

Steam and Sail bookings should be made via the Museum of the Broads Events page.

How Hill are running their "How To Sail a Wherry" course from 27th to 31st August - contact them for further information and bookings. Please note that Hathor will not be open for viewing on 28th-30th August as she will be sailing as part of this programme.
