BECOME A FRIEND OF WHERRY YACHT CHARTER
Creating the trust is a positive step for the wherries. To be effective the Trust needs substantial resources and the support of the public and local communities.
 
You can now help to protect these unique Broads craft for the enjoyment of future generations and become a Friend of Wherry Yacht Charter Charitable Trust.
 
As a Friend you will receive:
  • The satisfaction of knowing that your money will help to protect, restore and sail the wherries.
  • Regular Newsletters.
  • Exclusive invitations to trips and events.
  • The opportunity to be involved on a practical level, either through crew training, or maintenance and repair of the wherries and their base.
  • You may like to get involved at committee level or be able to offer much needed services such as administration.
  • Access to the Friends' Website (when launched).
Some examples of where your donations will be spent:
  • Annual varnishing
    5 tins of varnish (Hathor requires 4 coats to her external cabin sides) - £50
  • Batteries
    One 6 volt traction battery for Olive�s electric engine (32 required in total) - £100
  • Sails and Ropes
    New halyard and mainsheet for Norada - £250
  • Dinghy
    Refurbishment of dinghy for Hathor - £500
  • Internal fittings
    Replacement piano for Norada - £1000
Minimum annual contributions are �15 for an individual, �30 for a family and �250 for life membership. The Trust will also develop opportunities for Friends to give practical help, for example through crew training or in maintenance and repair of the wherries and their base.
